Best places to stay in Jamaica with a kid?

so I am taking the boy home this summer. I need to finalize things quick so I decide to just come ask oonu. I will stay with family for a little but I want to hang out and really have a vacation without the work of family. the boy will be a year and a half - is very mobile and him foot dem faster than him can keep up wid so him still a run into tings and drap (mi fraid him crack him skull pon concrete and tile )

any recommendations with following (what mi missing from di list?):

• smaddy fi cook and clean fi mi
• near to di beach
• good yard food
• safe!!!
• mi can get a patty and coco bread widdouten haffi go too fur
• mi can get a crib fi di boy sleep in
• some kinda play area so him can run wild widdout get concussion or scrape up scrape up

I stayed at Cannon Cottage in January 2013. Because there is construction next door, the Jamaican owner gave us a discount. The staff are absolutely wonderful to children and they prefer Jamaicans and the cook, Miss Lorna, is an amazing cook ... even vegan and vegetarian!

Check Tripadvisor....based on reviews, if you want quiet make sure they don't give you a villa near the public beach.

frenchy miss lady roll affa bed and drap boop pan di tile floor. plus she jumped out of the crip one nite and drop boop pop the tile floor. other dan being renk and facety i dont see ne do har so a drop of two likely wont hurt our little Bubba. being a bway u done know Bubba ago get nuff drop and nuff chip up in the next few years. brace yuhself mi dear. sometimes mi hear dis one lick up the bawl head and mi seem to feel it more dan she.

peasie, thanks so much for the recommendation. it was great - except fi di mosquito dem! it took me bout 2 days fi accept that the ladies really will just take care a tings - and did they! u should a hear alex a call up dem name and a falla back a dem

di family took a while to all arrive caw one nephew was in the hospital and brother and neice came later. but it was great. beach nice, water warm and accessible. took the children on lots of walks. mi nyam suh much mi a look fi a diet fi go pon now

I would dweet again but without the responsibility of watching 5 children and mekking sure dem nuh kill demselves. alex lick him head when him drop offa lounge chair and one nephew try go inna hammock and buss him mouth. one day 3 a di family member had to go see doctor but nuhbaddy never deh pon death bed.

light go weh 4 time in 8 days - 2 times on the last day. but we just hang out and chat and look pon di stars! di pickney dem beat we at dominoes . dem modda she dem put on weight. one guh back a town guh ask him modda why she haffi cook dem kinda food dere. him a expect slver sands level meal now mi dear! If I laugh I pop

anyway, mi come back to reality but just wanted to say we had a blast!

Nice trip report, Frenchie . Those ladies are just the best at taking care of guests. Is Barrington still there? He acts like he runs the place and he is also good with kids.

It was so windy there in January that it must have chased the mosquitoes because we didn't have any although I saw the netting above the beds. One of us slept with the netting every night because she feared lizard dropping on her

Up and down the East, from Jamaica to Canada, there has been a lot of rain. Did it rain when you were there? Yeah, not much of a restful vacation with five children but Alex got to connect with his kin. Glad you could walk up and down Silver Sands and play dominoes on veranda and watch stars.
