We have only been to Jamaica once.We stayed @ SJG in Ochee.So thats our fav.So far.We stay there because our kids are young of age. (5&6)It's VERY kid friendly there.But when they get older were looking to go to Port Antonio & other places.

But of course it has to be Negril since Ted and I live here. It is so beautiful in the hills and our view is wonderful. I also like the peeps from Ja.com who frequent Negril, and a few others from other boards.

I have travelled all over the island and it is truly beautiful in most areas. I like Mobay for shopping. I'm just getting to now Sav for that purpose.

Portland Parish is by far the most favorite part to me. It's so green and lush...there's a variety of beaches to explore...you can raft on the Rio Grande...or just cruise into the hills. The winding roads through Windsor and Sherwood Forest with the great big leaves and vines everywhere...just stunning. lots of places in the hills to see nice views of Porty and the Caribbean sea.

Downtown Porty is very friendly and has everything you need.

The sales pitch at the beaches bears no comparison to the vultures and crudeness you can sometimes encounter in Negril.

I'd love to go back and do it all again and again.

it's the capital of casual

and soon as i get there i can leave my shoes behind

i don't think i sleep anywhere as good as i do there

and plenty of partying that i don't have to get dressed up for

and loads of food everywhere - even at 4 in the morning

and i can flop on my beach chair and watch at least half of the world just walk by

and the beach boys are so nice to me [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img] i don't have to want for nothing

(7 & 8) It is very peaceful and laid back and the kids find each other, crossing cultural boundaries, having a ball! We love it! [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70371-jump.gif[/img]

I don't have a favorite. Wherever I am at the moment is my favorite as I like to scooter around. It's nice in the cockpits, it's beautiful in Christiana. I love Alligator Pond and I hang my hat in Little Bay or Negril because I have friends there. I love cruising along the south coast to the north coast cross country and spending the night wherever I land at sunset. How to pick a favorite, I just can't do it.

It is a fun question and I love the responses and looking for more!

I honestly think that my favorite part of jamaica, is any place in the country...
i am in love with the country, as for me it seems so different from the city..
