Jamaica has signed an Air Services Agreement with Spain, as part of efforts to open up the air transport market to the European Union (EU).

Communications Manager in the Ministry of Transport, Reginald Allen, said the signing was in line with the rapid Spanish expansion in the local tourism industry.

Mr. Allen said under the agreement, provision has been made for multiple designations of EU carriers into Jamaica

He said the agreement would not be signed until legislative procedures were completed in both countries.

In the interim it would be implemented on a provisional basis.

and have repeat visitors

appears there must be a lot of interest in visiting jamaica

let's hope

once they go they know

and come back to visit other areas of the island

and stay in more local places

it could be a nice resurgence in tourism

Could also be a resurgence in the Spanish language.

Did you know that there are some Jamaicans who are familuar with it.
Some Maroons, the older generations were handed down by way of the exposure runaway slaves got from Spanish masters before the arrival of the British in 1655.
