Hi Rootsie! Windchill has a kitty that sleeps on top of him every night. Then there is Walker the Australian Shepard who is his new friend. There is a mare in the walkway and they were talking back and forth tonight, it was so cute. Then on each side of him at night there is more mares. Everyone has their own big roomy stalls but the walls are not so tall that Windchill can't get lovings from the mares next to him. he seems content. And he can lift his neck/head and couldn't do that a week ago!

It is my opinion that the little guy is right where he belongs. Home with the people that love him and brought him through this. Oh..and I am on the "approved visitor list".

Yep, now that the little guy is famous...everyone wants to tell them what they have to do. I know one thing though..they don't need to be told, they know. Some people are upset he was not brought to the U. If he needs to go somewhere they will take him. The trip alone would be way to much. It is about 170 miles in the cold to the U.

Thanks bink! Yes I am so relieved now that I went. The reports were starting to make things sound like they were getting worse but all in all they are much better. I am sure there were a couple days when the little guy was exhausted though...after his big 30 hour standing marathon!

I will be able to sleep tonight without worrying and laying there wondering.

AM Report from Jeff:

February 28th, 1:06m: Were you able to watch the cam earlier tonight? Unfortunately I had to place it across the aisle where I think it was tough to see much. A computer company (Compudyne) from Duluth put in a signal booster thing in the barn. Friday we should have a barn cam in there as well.

The lift went very well, the little guy was eager and waiting this evening for liftoff. It's the favorite part of his, and all of our day. He's getting both heavier and believe it or not, taller already. That's good as well. We heard the news today that the DA is going to charge the owners of the farm he was at when we rescued him. We were asked for statements on how we felt and it was difficult to think about. We have been so wrapped up in and focused on caring for Windchill and taking each day as it comes that we hadn't really thought that side of things, leaving that up to the Sheriff's Department and the DA:
