On Saturday March 15 at 5 am 8 am and 12:15 pm, The Movie Channel is showing a documentary made in 2002 about the Funk Brothers, called Standing in the Shadow of Motown. These guys were the sound of Motown back in the day, the studio musicians that played behind most of the early artists of Motown.Temptations, Marvin, Smokey, Diana R and the Supremes, Martha and the Vandelllas, Stevie, so many.

A must see treat for the Soul. For any Motown fan it takes you back to your early days of Sock Hops, rent dances, your first dates, your first love, your first................and the music you did it to.

The first time I saw it so many memories came back. Mark the date and check it out. Magical.

It's the sound track of my life.
I loved it so much I ran out and purchased it right away.
A must watch for R & B music fans.

I have the STAX 50 th anniversary collection ..CD and DVD ,, musik from Carla Thomas, Otis Redding, Eddie Floyd, Issac Hayes, Staple Singers, Booker T and the Mg's etc ..quite exciting ..

My son purchased his copy at Blockbuster when it first came out. But check Amazon, or one of the mail order companies.
