You only need enough diapers and wipes for the day of travel, otherwise it's very easy to find those once you're there. Bringing your own rmeds (i.e. baby tylenol) is important... we ran out and had a hard time finding any, had to visit 4 different stores/pharmacies in the Negril area. We brought our own car seat because my wife doesn't trust those provided by rental car places (even here in the U.S.) but they do have them. You should probably also bring a light stroller of some sort. You might be able to get a pack 'n play or a crib where you're staying - we've done it twice with no problem. Agree on the insect repellent (deet free, of course) but in all honesty, the mosquitos still feasted on our son. A hat or baby sun block. Last but not least, skip the traditional diaper bag and bring a backpack - easier to handle and holds everything!
Most importantly, remember to bring some patience and a healthy sense of humor. It's definitely more challenging travelling with all that extra baby stuff (not to mention the baby) but still managed to have a great time on both trips to JA with our son.Comment
