My Landlord saw it when they came in to do some work on something or other and actually called me to say he loved it! I was kinda thinkin he may not... [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif[/img]

But I used odd latex wall paints that I've found in "oops" racks at home depot & lowe's and mixed them with Artists acrylics to get the colors I needed. The base for the sea color I did have mixed, but it was only a quart. I was afraid art/craft paints might not work so well in a steamy bathroom. So it will be easy enough to cover if the next tenant doesn't like it.

It's still a work in progress. I'm looking for a bamboo shower curtain but there's not much out there. I may have to improvise. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70402-thinking.gif[/img]

I'm working on the door as well to make it look more like a bamboo/plank door/gate but I need to take it off the hinges to finish the details on the bottom half. Hard to work at that angle when yuh is a mampy ol ooman!!

Anyway, I posted it for ROOTS as she's thinking of doing something similar. Dying to see hers as well!!

I love the oddball paint idea. I usually start with looking for that at the hardware store for things like my outside metal chairs. Next i go to the free selection at the local recycling! They have loads of paint there in most colors!

You did a great job on the water! Well I love it all, the palm tree is awesome!!! Well...you could always get a fabric shower curtain and paint bamboo on that!

Nanook! See what I mean about great minds?!?!? I've thought about painting a shower curtain, but I'd like maybe bamboo beads. I've found some in doorway size... so it's a maybe.

Rootsie the curtains are beautiful! I am glad you finished painting! I would have done the same thing! lol....I just hope you don't hurt too bad and that it heals quickly!
