August is somewhat a forbidden time for me to take off work. It’s nearing the close of the fiscal year and vacations are usually frowned upon 
I would be in Florida for a week in July so I just knew that another week off the following month wouldn’t fly. I needed a break though and it was worth the try 
I put in for time off and it was approved. I did the happy dance when I pressed the purchase button
My partners in crime had other summer vacation plans and since my trip was shorter notice than usual, I was prepared to travel solo. Plus, I wasn’t soliciting for travelmates and I didn’t want to hear all the back talk about travel during hurricane season.
I dropped my beloved Kodak while I was in Florida
lines started appearing across the screen 
I couldn’t chance taking the camera to Jamaica and I has less than 2 weeks to get it repaired tested and such. I shopped around and settled for a Sony Cybershot 
Since returning home, I’ve decided to get the Kodak fixed, I love that camera!
August 17 I left Los Angeles headed to Negril for 8 days on a solo adventure

After taking about 4 hours to get settled, I headed to the beach
The For Real temporary Bar was set up next to the regular bar in the shade today. The countertops were being re-done, so I grabbed a chair in the blaring sun till I started to bake, then I slid under a palm shaded chaise
