For the first 2-3 days, I felt like I was living in a cocktail party .. hooking up with old friends, finally meeting some previously internet-only friends and meeting some completely new friends....people coming, people going....I think the furthest we walked was across the road to get some jerk...I vaguely remember alcohol being served also

MissM perfectly described this group as &quot;easy&quot;...no drama, no theatrics, just a bunch of grown up children enjoying things ...

New Years Eve was exactly the way I expected....instead of sitting on the couch at home, watching Dick Clark and trying to stay awake until midnight, we were barefoot on the beach watching fireworks ... Pooh has already decided that we'll be back next year ...

and, no, there is not one blessed picture...the 2 pics above are the only ones we took those 2-3 days....

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaa I was talking about the fact that BEFORE you even got there I was running around interviewing people to be your new best bud when you arrived (as though you need help).

I see this guy with this awesome tatoo of Bob (still a work in progress, he has to do it in stages), then another on the other arm, his calf I think, and somewhere else. His whole body is a tribute to Bob Marley.

I talk to him and he says he goes to Bob's birthday EVERY year. I told him that he MUST meet my friend when he arrives. Then there was John who I just KNEW you would hit it off with, and of course Stan, although that was a given. I felt just like a kindegarten teacher who should give you high marks for &quot;Plays well with others.&quot;

Imagine you and Pooh on your beach chairs that first day, and I am dragging all the new recruits over to meet you......but I mussi say, I was right, because you all hit it off famously.

I feel like you are some kind of great natural resource that I am complelled to share with the rest of the world. </span>

As much as I enjoy the beach, I really needed to get out and about, so I called our friend and told him we just wanted to drive....not <span style="font-weight: bold">to</span> anywhere, but just anywhere....we stopped first at Half Moon Beach, just up the road from Negril....it's a sweet little spot; pretty beach, bar, restaurant, bathrooms....it was really nice until a party boat from Negril pulled in and disgorged about 50 tourists and all the paraphernalia necessary to ensure their enjoyment ..... note to self; don't go there Tuesdays, Saturdays or Sundays between 11AM and 1PM

Marilyn, there really was a cool group of people in that yard...<span style="font-weight: bold">and</span> it was nice not being the only rooster in the hen house for a change!
