I value ppl's stories about their lives and memories of growing up. It is a world that is not mine, so like others it truly is a thrill to hear the oral stories from older folks. So much can be learned and felt thru them from hearing such stories. They allow you to take a walk in the past and see the same place thru a completely different set of eyes.

That is beyond valuable because no history book can capture the vibes they bring to the stories

Hi Monk! You know I'm so mad at myself for not taking a picture of the final work each time Hannah did a portrait for someone (she did three while we were there and then promptly gave them away).

We're paying good money for her to attend an art school in the U.S. and our ongoing joke (well it's really no joke) is that she better find a way to make a darn good living as an artist in order to pay her poor, broke parents back!

The good news is she got a canvas and will be painting an image from her recent trip to the rock (well the Mountain

I'm a bit of an artist myself, so that is why I was asking!

I went to Pratt in Brooklyn and then went into graphic design and the fashion industry. She can make money, don't fret lol...

One of the lovliest areas of Jamaica is Llandovery near St. Ann's Bay. We booked a horseback riding tour for Hannah at Chukka Cove. Fantastic facility.

OK I did this once with SHon, and the problem is that as soon as those horses hit the water things start to come out of them (if you know what I mean). Which is ok if you are the front horse, but if you are behind others...not so much fun.
