This report was very welcome to me this Sunday morning. The pics brought out verbal exclamations from me. You indeed are still beautiful, girl. 2 months today and I leave for beloved Jamaica.

I was privy once many moons ago to a market ladies cussing it wasn't pretty but I loved it. Back then I did not understand the spoken patois as much as I do now. I know it was a market in Saint Andrew think it was Constancespring....a ded... complete with dress thrown over the head at each other

Then a Security guard came and said to me Miss!! this is no place to be.... cho then they broke up the fight. I was in no danger....was hilarious.

Girl....I have become obssessed with all things Miss G. It is rare that you get to meet a living legend. I have watched the movie about 30 times, and I could only stand to read the book once. I had to just put that book down several times on the beach in Negril as I felt like those things were happening to me. I cried more than once.

She had a very bad keloided scar across the base of her neck (which she wears clothes that proudly display it daily, where as most women would seek to cover it up) that was imposed by a machete chop by her stepson. In that same attack he nearly severed her thumb from her hand. She hadn't done anything to him, just returned to her home in the country to pick fruit. He had become like a recluse madman at this point in his life, and may not have really even recognized her. Her driver is the only thing that saved her that day.

That is just one of the many incidents that made me have to put the book down. I honestly don't know how one woman endured so much and came out on the other side. It made my little life seem like Disneyland.

Everytime I look at her, it gives me the strength to do whatever I have to do.

I often wonder how many of us have stayed there and don't know her story, just check in, check out, and make and easy exit to the airport. EVERYONE should see that movie. Over and above that it is shot with quality and the acting is a cut above say SHottas and Third World Cop. LOL
