Thank you Marilyn for such a beautiful report on my favorite place to be "Montego Bay Jamaica"...I am so glad you finally got to really see what Mobay is all about.
Ms G. is the sweetest lady I have ever met...I met her in the year of 1999 and a few years later she says to me Pretty Lady I am going to write a book..just you wait and see...
I went back to stay at her hotel and she says..Pretty Lady here is my book..I told you I was going to write it...So I bought the book and Miss G autographed it for me...Then she says to me...."I am going to make a movie" just you wait and see. So upon my return to Mobay I stayed at her hotel of course and sure enough the movie had been out already in Kingston and then she was selling the C.D's and I bought one..
After watching the C.D. and reading her book..much of what she went through I had similar experiences with but she endured much more. I let Miss G. know what I went through and she understood and was very sympathetic toward me. Miss G. is a strong woman..a good business woman and a christian woman and a good friend to have she is the best!
I was in Mobay July 14 -July 27 "2009" and plan on going back for the blues and Jazz festival at the end of January if not I will definitely be there for my birthday in March God willing. Oh and while staying in Mobay I ran off with a couple of people the the motor cycle and car racing in Negril...it was so much fun...the grills were going smelling of Jerk and the appleton rum was flowing and my cup was full. lol
As I mentioned before, I have been going to Mobay since 1999 and up till now I only missed 1 year of not going to Mobay and that was in the year of 2008.
My only wish Marilyn is that I was there when you were there we would have partied to the sun came up...Did you go to the dead end..that is one of my favorite spots and also someone should have taken you to Nyam Jam to eat and drink..very good food..I like the atmosphere better there then the Pelican it's real local.
