We discovered that there is a direct correlation between the depth of the sand and the strength of the the sand gravity...I can assure you, the sand was very, very deep while we were there 
...as a result, this will be the shortest, most bereft of photos trip report I've done to date....we really didn't do much of anything other than relax, eat and drink...this was partly due to our desire to decompress from an unusually stressful Holiday season and partly due to the newbie couple we brought with us....they both have mobility issues, so any strenuous adventures were out of the question....
John and Janet are two of the few friends of ours that we had considered going to Jamaica with....and they were crazy excited to go...John has wanted to go to Jamaica since he first heard Bob's <span style="text-decoration: underline">Natty Dread</span> in 1974....and Janet was simply looking forward to the first trip they've done without kids/grandkids in over 20 years....
We got to JFK a little after 8AM on New Years Eve for our 10:50 flight which had been delayed until Noon by the time we got to the airport..."routine maintenance"
...we pushed back about Noon, but the snow that had started falling as we got to the airport meant that we then had to get in line to de-ice...we didn't take off until 1:30.....the flight was uneventful, immigration and customs was a breeze and I had a well cold Red Stripe in my hand before 6PM
