Too bad absolutely nothing in this kitchen looks good compared to the yummy J.A. home cooking you just shared.

Thanks sweets </div></div>This report has been hard on me as I am HOOKED on Ja food now.
Laurel, this was the best report. I love the pictures just about as much as I enjoyed the tales of Mr. being the provider. You have a treasure there in Mr. Strong enough to care for his family, but gentle enough to pull splinters out of the delicate wings of a bird, and charm a goat! I dont know which one of you are the luckiest. Mr for having such a beautiful and gentle spirit as yourself, or you for having such a Man. Well I guess you are both blessed to have each other.
Does my heart good to see families still gathering for meals and loving each other.
Love, Family, and Food! I am enjoying your trip report as one of the best yet. My mom peered over my shoulder to see what I was "ooohing" and "ahhing" about. She loves the market pics as well and went through straight up withdrawal looking at the jerk pics.
I really liked the candid shots of family, the ram goat and the eagle (hell, I loved it ALL). Your dawta is growing into quite the lovely young lady with such a sweetness to her face. I love her natural hair! The shots of the family time reminded me of when my Big Mama and Big Daddy were alive and we'd all gather at their house in the country on holidays or weekends for a good roast, ham, or chicken, beans and fresh corn bread or smothered oxtails over rice and greens or okra and tomatoes. A Friday night fish fry and card party was so much fun spent with uncles, aunts, and cousins. Seeing your pics reminded me so much of that and how much I miss them. There is nothing like fresh grown produce and just fresh food period. Sharing it with those you love is even better and more enjoyable. You've captured that beautiful sense of family and connectedness. Thank you for posting your wonderful report.
I forgot to mention...your home is LOVELY and coming along nicely. It's been such a treat to see the changes.
