I haven't been to JA since 2006. 2006! Lawd a gash. I can't believe it has been so long. I was thinking of going in August but need a likkle help from uuno fi plan.

I always liked For Real beach resort in Negril, it's still a decent hotel, nah true?

Which wan a uuno waan fi gie mi a ride fram di airport to Negril? ok... ok that was a stretch but do any of you guys have a driver you can give me contact information for?

When I said to myself, "Self, it is time for a trip to JA." Myself replied "Jamaicans.com!!!" and here I am. Guilty of only coming cause I need something (and for talking to myself outloud.) I wasn't sure if anyone would remember me or if I would know anyone... so nice to see familiar faces deh bout di place.

Thanks for the hotels loops! I remember Kuyaba being nice.

hey there boundy girl.

the beauty of kuyaba is that the location is good for live shows...but you can just walk on back to your room to pee rather than use the facilities at the venue.

they have a nice restaurant...nice untacky rooms...and it's small enough to have an intimate feel. and the price...oh the price!

are you set on the beach? have you considered the cliffs? or maybe breaking up the stay with some time on each?

a couple other beach places i like...of course, this depends on your budget but....

I recommend Whistling Bird .... eclectic little cottage resort -

altho - Loops makes a great recommend as well ... I have never stayed there - but I love the property still.

not remember you? gal yuh mussi mad - i've been thinking about you for DAAYYYZZZZ this past week (cause i just put down a dep. on a Miami apt.) -- and wondering whe de L you went and if we'd ever hear from you again and what you two r up to, and and and and ......-!

oh and yes, For Real IS wonderful - prettiest beach &amp; funnest bar area IMHO, locally O &amp; O (and local-&amp; guest-friendly), the chef is The Bomb, and of course the hotel itself is beautiful. i haven't technically stayed there myself, but hang out there with marilyn &amp; them when they're there, and the staff treated me with the same level of excellent kindness &amp; service just as if i was a paying guest. i love it there
