<span style="font-style: italic">"Is this your first time to Jamaica?"</span>
With just a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth, the young lady at the Immigration desk asked me this as she flipped through page after page of Jamaican entrance stamps in my passport.....with a similar smile and a brief shake of my head, yet another stamp was added to the passport....
Other than a brief wait for our luggage, the airport was a breeze; in fact, we probably waited longer for our bags than we waited at Immigration and Customs combined....less than an hour after wheels down, I had a cold Stripe in my hand....Trevor arrived shortly.....a quick stop for supplies and the ATM and we were off to his yard for lunch....fry chicken, a sort of shrimp and vegetable stir fry and rice
....
Lexie and Trevor....when we first met Lexie, she was still a babe in swaddling clothes....now she's graduated basic school ( please note the new braids
) and is growing tall and thin like her older siblings....
There's plenty of fruit in the yard....Trevor has so many mangoes that a man comes down the hill every morning and carries away a bucketful to feed his pigs....
The pigs weren't the only ones eating mango, though
....we ate these for the next couple days....
