According to my work calender, there are no observable holidays in August, so I decided to take my own
This trip started out like all the others, advance planning, compiling all of the “I wanna go’s” email addresses and checking airfare. The dates had changed several times from July to accommodate others and the travellers going changed as well. In the end, it was me solo in August
. And I had no issues with that, all I had to be concerned with was ME! But I was not free of some kind of issue
A week before my travels to Jamaica I was in Florida for 5 days. I was in vacay mode for 3 weeks, that’s a dangerous thing for me; I could learn to LOVE it!
I flew out on a Tuesday night.
Sunday morning when I got off work I saw that my eye was looking kinda funky. I never had an eye infection before but I knew something wasn’t right cause it was really red
We were busy that night so I never looked in the mirror until I went on break which was 8 hours after I started working. And pretty much 10 hours after I last really looked at my eye when I put my contacts in. I saw that I might have a problem so I prepared my work in case I wouldn’t be returning for my next shift. I got off work and went to urgent care. I thought I had just the everyday run of the mill pink eye. But the MD said something that really threw a monkey wrench in my plans. “You have 3 corneal ulcers”.
What the heck is that? I ask

“Okay so what is the alternative prescription, how much is it and what’s the difference?” The alternative medication was less expensive and took longer to work. After about 2 minutes of debate and balancing moral decisions
, I told them to go ahead and fill the high as giraffe nanny prescription
Lucky me, when it was filled the clerk told me they were looking at the wrong column and that it wasn’t $219, but closer to $150.00 I felt relieved but was still bummed that I had unexpected expenses so close to vacation. Oh well, on with the show
The next day I had an early AM appointment with the ophthalmologist. I expressed to the doctor that I feared running out of the eye drops since the bottle was so small and I needed to take it for the 2 weeks while I was away. She went in the cabinet and gave me a sample…I wanted to ask her for 3 more cause three more would equal to the 1 bottle I just bought

trip repooooooort!!!
sorry to hear about ur eye and i hope it all better now
My flights usually depart between 10:55pm-11:55pm depending on the time of the year. I was fortunate enough to be reacquainted with the same jerk face Delta employee working curbside that I had in February
I have come to believe that he is purposely paced there to cause people to miss checking their bag and flights so that Delta can handle the late night flights they always overbook. This time was no different, I approached him with a humbleness cause I had a unpleasant previous encounter. Oh well he killed the humbleness with the first pop off of an attitude. I kept my cool and checked my bag with about 7 minutes to spare before cut off

some were helpful and some wanted an exchange for information. He asked men, women and young children for directions. It was raining and the ride at times was extremely bumpy, excuse me, at most times, it was extremely bumpy
