Hi All ... this yard is Aunty Peggy, Uncle YouYou's place ... brother and sister, each have their home on either side of the road.

our land and home is over closer to Negril area.

we may decide to begin a new project up around the Family Yards ...

*sigh*... my photos loaded all mixed up ... the order is a mess - but, nevermind.

it was a long day of working for the folks around the yard ... all the prep, all the cooking, the sound system set up, then - with all the folks coming, the need for someplace for them to sit or at least prop up ~

all the natural resources abound ... and the Men and Women just get to whatever needs to be done.

and we observed that Mr. Big Man took his role of 'supervisor' very seriously - he gave his sound advice on how just about everything should be done, in THE BEST WAY -









Aunty Peggy and my beautiful Teen Girl ... she is living up with Aunty Peggy - to be with the rest of the young women to help guide and raise her up and the girls her age to grow up with.

all the love in the world just came pouring out for her the moment she walked toward me when Seveen and I arrived. We wrap up in each others arms, I breath her in ~

she is such a delightful young woman

and all their hard working produced this awesome meal ... the young women came around to ask everyone's preference ... and shared up and served each -



the food serving continued well into the evening ... night fell, and Elvis worked his magic with the sound system -

nuff nuff dance going on - and even more folks joined in the fun.

Daughter was in charge of photos of the dance scene .... I was standing around watching, and this young man - have no clue where he came from slides in and begins to chat me up ... thought it might be a good idea for us to get to know each other better -

clearly - he did not know where I belonged ~



Bim soon surfaced from his perch ... and I made sure we got wrapped around each other ...

and all the babies - growing up so fast

my trips are pretty much all take place around the family ... not too much touring around for us these days - but, what joy we all share.

you all know from Seveen's trip - we stayed and visited till mid evening; Damion had a cock-fight that day, and we waited for him to get back to carry us all back to Negril.

on the drive back - of course, we had to get stopped by the Police ... but - not to worry, they did not find what they were hoping to find - just a little family and friends going home from the country.

I had been fighting a migraine head all day ... and by night it was full on.

but - not to worry ... Mr. took THE BEST care of me - put me to bed, rubbed my head with BayRum ... soaked a tie-head with it and made me breath it in deeply,

Thanks Sweet Baby ... your loving care, it means so much to me

I tried to get out of bed the next day, but - it was all I could do to just remain in bed all day - the only day I did not spend with my dear friend Seveen.

of course - you know I photo'd it ...






because I could only stay in our bed all day, he came to do his little jobs near me - just so we could be in each others presence

he cooked me an Ackee and Saltfish & dumplings breakfast - I could eat only tiny bits of it ... and he spent the afternoon cooking me a lovely Gungo Pea Soup - with all the veg grown by him around the yard -



his Sweet Loving Care ... made us THE BEST soup ever!!



After I spent the day in bed - the bad headache went off - thank you Jesus ...

and we went back to our usual ~~

he was going to get his wind on with the lovely ladies

and he'll be paying for his own room before he gets busy on my dime

but yes the "girls" were checking him out on this visit - and he loved it - he doesn't get that attention at home - according to him - he's too black - smdh

Laurel am so enjoying your report. It brings back wonderful memories of family togetherness. It takes me back to many christmas days in the country side of Grange Hill.
