pls help me identify the name of the large trees

[freshmint]

please help with this.

i saw them in various places, namely along the north coast near ocho rios and also on the farmland along the way to ys falls

they are large and the outline of them is spectacular, umbrella-shaped, and i imagine the wind has something to do with their shape.

do you have a picture?

i'm thinking maybe cottonwood they grow huge in jamaica and some have usual shapes from the storms

bamboo grows there too

not the bamboo.

not sure about the cottonwood.

from up close, the larger cottonwood seem to have quite the unusual lower trunk with roots flowing around and above the ground.

the trees i am thinking of don't have that sort of lower trunk and root action.

That whatchumucallit vine is a crown pest on the breadfruit tree, limbs reaching out as if drowning...as the bamboos in the back ground look on.

That's a breadfruit tree smothered by a vine.
The cut leaves belong to the breadfruit.

The vine smothering the breadfruit tree is a Pothos vine. Pothos vines grows to giant proportions in their native habitat...
