I mentioned up in Jamaicaholics that we took my mother home in March for a 2nd service and internment in our family plot. Here are just a few pictures from this bittersweet trip to the village where she was born, not far from Brown's Town (St. Ann).
That "She is home" feeling was so strong once we returned from the church. Let met tell you - looking at the experience (at the time) from that perspective saved me from altogether losing it. Even now, I feel less desolate about the absence of my vibrant mother from my life, because she is at home and resting with other family members who have gone before her - especially dear sister.
