As we are coming back into Ochi I am racking my brain to try and remember the hotel ROOTS had suggested the last time we had planned a trip east that never happened...

I can't think of the name, and then I see the ROOMS sign, and call the number... it was quick, it was easy, and soon we were all checked into a "family room" with 3 double beds.

Miss Lilla was fast asleep from the fever, and Daddy just lay there an fan her:



I have discovered that one can only feel so clean when showering with rain water

The shower I took that night was wonderful, and by the time I was done Little Miss was up and running again, no sign that she was ever feeling bad...

Lilla love to sing and dance, and the music of Jamaica is in her soul.

She is starting to grow so big, and already counting, tho she skip 7 & 8 and go straight to the 9 whe she love for some reason

Soon her and Daddy were clapping and counting, and she was dancing around the room

Private beach is an oxymoron in Jamaica... Hope ur bil was not the unfortunate I schooled on that....

So u had fun still despite it being a working trip

Yes, we had some fun... I got to see places I have wanted to visit for many a year

As for the private beach, it was just the 3 of us on it, so for me it was private enough

Lucky child... The Mosquitos have had their way with me n ongle dem had a smoke afta.

My allergies continue unabated here in JA.. as the steroid works its way out of my system I am hearing my wheeze return

I tell you I think is the mosquitoes cause her fever, the 2nd day she had a rash all over her legs and arms...
I think the likkle pests gave her Dengue Fever

And the mosquito net is all well and good unless you stretch, and your feet touch the net at night...
I woke with FIVE mosquito bites on the bottom of my foot one morning dem all a eat mi through the net!!

I brought this little mosquito repellent lantern:

Lawd.. is that the scariest thing ever..and when they bounce back I am equally amazed...even when I found out the seizure was a good thing to bring the body temp down, it still made no difference..

Yes, she look like Daddy, sometimes mi see her staring at him like wow...
So sad he has missed so much of his only child's life

That night Uncle Joe, my husband and I, survey the map and figure out where we are going tomorrow.

Sleep was off and on, and daylight came quickly.

Car loaded, and Lilla is feeling better but she have one hell-of-a rash on her skin



It does not seem to bother her, and I am thankful the fever is down!

I am also thankful to be heading to PORTLAND JAMAICA

You can tell almost as soon as you enter the parish that the land has changed.

The lush vegetation, the cool breeze... pure COUNTRY, and I love it.

I could not stop taking pictures of the beauty before me...





Well, as much as I could get with Uncle Joe aka LEAD FOOT behind the wheel!

We decide to check into the hotel and get our bearings before we head out to explore...

We stayed at Ivanhoe's which, if I did not have an address and a map I would have never found

Up on the Titchfield Peninsula, it is out of the way, on a little one way street.

That's another thing, Portie full of one way streets!!

But alas, we found where we were going, and Lilla approved!



and so did the rest of us... simply beautiful
