I went to Jamaica earlier this month and stayed a few days at the Palmyra resort. I see now that they are in receivership, one of the buildings is still unfinished. Add them to the long list of real estate ventures that fell victim to the economy.
Regardless of what happens to the owners and their debts, this is a lovely five star resort. I would go back there in a New York minute. The rooms are extremely reasonable right now, who knows how long these rates will last. I booked a package, the room was a little over $100 per night. I had a one bedroom ocean view apt, with terrace....a steal.
