To answer yr question... it was not the Rasta Vibes that allowed me to be brave, as most times I never saw any Rasta, I think it was more the love in my heart for the local people there, they just seem VERY welcoming

Very interesting. I guess we all have pre-conceived notions about places we haven't been to yet. What surprise4d me was:

-Minibus 'tro-tro' don't have a built in sound system blasting.
-night session finish so early!
-reggae not popular. In Uganda and Kenya they love reggae!

98% of the tro-tro's was quiet, I mean absolutely NO noise! LOL...

some night time activities ended early, others did go to 1 or 2am, but never all night

right, most people I met do not listen to reggae or only know of Lucky Dube and Bob Marely
