alright.....so it is a woman's perogative to change her mind

and I have changed my mind about writing out all the shenanignans that happened over my birthday weekend

Suffice it to say, my nickname that weekend was Snow White

MMK and I went for a drive around downtown Atlanta just before I left to come hime. Now, poor MMK had a sick foot so exploring the city by foot was out of the question

A Black Arts Festival was happening downtown on the weekend prior but I just didnt have the heart to drag her around with me - hobbling about. Come to think of it, if that woman would only put on a pair of shoes with less than a 2 inch heel, we could've explored the city by foot

but noooooooo, Missy needed to look cute while in pain

I loved the structure of the Sun Trust building. Very cool effect when you can see the building at a wider angle.

I should back up a second....before we went exploring the city, we went to a Tapas restaurant in downtown ATL. MMK had been there before and I was anxious to try it since I have never been to a tapas bar before

The food was to die for and the waiter was just as delicious as the food on the menu

the calamari was simply divine I could have eaten 3 plates of the calamari alone but since I am a curious George when it comes to food, I tried some of the other tapas as well

Spanish version of Bruschetta with artichoke hearts and goat cheese:



Habenero Peppers stuffed with goat cheese (yes I have a thing for cheese )



Deep-fried grouper



Melt in your mouth, fall off your fork Jerk Pork This is a ringing endorsement considering I dont like the taste of pork.....I'll eat bacon but that is about it......but this stuff was just beautiful

thanks ROOTS! I am glad someone appreciated my artistic attempts

MMK's fried chicken was off the hook and after posting these pictures, I am seriously jonsing for that calamari at La Fuego........ the batter wasnt greasy ATALL and the squid tasted like it was just caught minutes before being dipped in the batter
