Thanks Sukuna. That was nice. I've been to a Christmas Market one time before. But after mi nearly freeze to death mi neva go again.
I was in Frankfurt just a couple days before Christmas and supposedly they have the largest one in Germany. Almost everyone was going to see it. Not Magix! Temperature was well below minimums for me. And you have to take a tram then subway and then walk. No sah!

Well, Magix, the trick is to drink Glúhwein, mulled wine, nice and warm, or hot chocolate.....
Just stumbled on this and brings back memories.....so nice to read the report and see the photos (tho quite a few unavailable, never mind)....
When my kid was smaller - and still into going on trips with his mum - we hopped on a train and went to the Kóln - where's the umlaut?! - Cologne Christmas market. Loved it! (Yea, not the cold, tho...but there's always cafés to dive into when it gets unbearable....).
It's beautiful cos it's situated around the amazing gothic-looking cathedral. Loved all the candles and candleholders and tea-light holders, bought a few back....Absolutley LOVE those gold ones, yea, Klimt, fantastic.....!! They also have those typical German beautiful natural Christmas tree decorations.
Friend of mine actually worked on the Frankfurt one one year, 6 weeks!!! (No, in that cold I wouldn't last a whole day....).
She said it was great fun cos there was a great atmosphere, with the stall-holders and the public. She also said they would start on the hot chocolate with rum and cream around lunchtime, to keep warm....
She went to Thailand anyway in January, so I guess that kept her spirits up, the thought of going to get warm on a beach in Thailand.....

Yea German is more difficult than English. I just picked it up watching Bold and the Beautiful. They were 2yrs episode behind so things that were familiar was a good reference. </div></div>

Yea, a drag that the Germans dub everything. Like the Spanish and Italians. So weird.
Here (Holland), they subtitle it all (thank god!), sure that is also why the Dutch in general are quite good at English...
And talking of being 2 years behind here.... when I was in Jamaica and walked into the hotel bar, it was on the telly and everyone was watching it. So of course I did too. Much to my amazement and shock, Taylor was in it, resurrected, cos she'd died in our part of town...............
that's around the time I stopped watching it too (phew....) For a long time it was my daily dose before making dinner.....Comment

...and as for Brooke and Ridge.......... here Brooke (phonetic) means trousers in Dutch, and "rits" is a zip....
go figure the jokes the announcers make....
