Zurich!!

Been a couple of times....definately better in the summer, it gets hot!! They even have a swimming area on the river down by the lake.

Do I recognise Bahnhoffstrasse? The long street going to the lake from the railway station. An amazing street, only for window shopping it's got all the Armani, Chanel etc. shops down there and full of banks and tres-expensive jewellers.

But Zurich is also the most multicultural city of Switzerland. They even have a latin festival there!!

Also went one night to the Langstrasse, the red-light district, lots of funky dominican music clubs. Even met some Gambians in one!!!

Yes Marielle...that's Bahnhoffstrasse. We walked from the train station all the way to the lake. I know exactly what you're saying about the stores being good for window shopping only. My Lord...

You need to be one of these to shop on that street

Final pics on the way back

I thought it very strange...chocolate with chilly. He offered me the first piece which I rejected. Told him, he had to try it first. He said it was fine so I tried a piece. It wasn't bad but I still don't get the concept of chocolate and chilly.

Notice the Swiss Cross?

Back on the tram...this time we paid but we weren't sure if we paid the right fare.

Monday morning and it's time to return to Canada after the most fab weekend. I didn't want to smile but the person taking the pic was being funny.

Noticed this in the airport and actually took the pic for my pastor...he loves Swiss Chalet.

I found this very funny...there's a TRAINING sign on the side of the plane. The plane was so muddy.

So that's it...my little trip to Zurich...thanks for reading and commenting.

Then there were the folks who looked at us strangely as we walked hand in hand. I found that hilarious and would pull closer to him. If you can get by the attitudes of some of the folks...it's a great place to visit.

nice report- i recognized a few places

when i was there was 1995. the only black people i met on the street were a couple of jamaican women

i saw some africans i think nigerians strategically placed on some streets; someone told me they were drug dealers...i came across a reggae shop near my hotel; i will have to find out what hotel i stayed in

stayed in the city...i regret not taking pics of the countryside drive though...those were some of the most beautiful houses i've ever seen. bright red & green houses...livid colors;
very nice...
