<span style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'"> Each year, the Peases travel from DC to Williamsburg, Virginia. While Mr. Gungo plays in a golf tournament, Gungo and sons would explore Colonial Williamsburg on foot. Boys are all grown up now so Mr. and Mrs. Peas escape for the weekend on their own.

I know it is very touristy, but I actually love Colonial Williamsburg. The restorations are genuine and there is something very familiar about this place I don't know why.</span>

<span style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'"> This year I carried my bike. It is a Trek 7500 that Mr. Gungo bought for my birthday some 12 years ago. I'm not what you would call an avid cyclist, but I do love to bike trails choosing my own pace. Here I am at the beginning of my half-day self-paced bicycle tour of Colonial Williamsburg in a private garden that this little old lady allows the public to use. It is a tiny adorable garden and the owner is a little nutty, but sweet.

Last year I spent a couple of hours in this garden on a shaded bench just reading. Just using a little Cannon PowerShot camera here, folks. When I grow up, I want to be a photographer like Mutty!

Looks like you are having a great time there. I like the idea of carrying bikes and cycling around there. We might do this on our next trip out there.

<span style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'"> My favorite part of Colonial Williamsburg is sneaking into a backyard or a garden. I love this backyard. It reminds me of a backyard in old, old, Vineyard Town, Kingston.

dis is someone's house or part of the williamsburg attraction?

I seem to recall there was a place where there were 'modern' shops (starbucks) and people lived in the general area

but there was also a wide open park area (where dem have the horse rides) near Jeffersons' house with the maze that had some pretty gardens...

<span style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'">Kia, even in the designated historic area of Colonial Williamsburg, there are private residences. Do you mean Thomas Jefferson? That would be Monticello in Charlottesville, Virginia, not Williamsburg. Right? </span>
