I've never seen anyone on the beach at Herbster but on this day there was a guy doing yoga. He had a pick up truck packed with construction equipment and the guy and the truck didn't match each other very well!

Anyway, I left him to his yoga and I wandered.



evidence of the fact that just because you want a dock in Lake Superior, does not necessairly mean you will have one! I wonder how long this one stood before a wave took it. The breakwater was no help in this case!



And then it was time to head for home once again. This journey was only 185 miles and I found myself wondering how I did the 264 miles that day last week. I was ready for home...

Until next time. This coming week will be the next time so I might add to this when I head out again. I'll ride till it gets too cold!

Pretty, very pretty Steph.

I love the scenery in your area. I was in Duluth for a week 4 or 5 yrs ago, I was surprised how pretty that area is.

I was stuck on the Jack Raddics video, and watched 5 or 6 on you tube, after seeing this one. Jack is a friend of mine as well, he used to spend a lot of time in my yard, dating my neighbor for many years. He still sings round town every so often, but I heard hes on his way to Japan this month.

Sorry this all brings up Sam's death, lawd I know that is hard. You really seem to be embracing some wonderful memories you have with him, that makes me smile.

Go easy on yourself and enjoy the life you are living Steph.

Wow! beautiful country Steph....I will make it up there one day I hope. I teared up reading about Sam. I too can't believe it's already been a year. I know the entire Jamaica experience must be bittersweet for you.

TSmall..you were up here! Too bad I missed it. Yeah, I have a load of good memories from the Jamaica scooter adventures and nuttin can take them away. It's kind of why I know I'll never go back to that part of the island. Those kind of travel days are over. But I am looking forward to seeing Port Antonio. It will be a fresh start.

miss the smell of pine in the air as soon as you head north of hwy 8.....but i could smell it in your pixure...

Good morning mr. Dude! It was incentive to wear my helmet which I do about half the time. I could hear them dinging off the top of the helmet now and then one would splat on my glasses. When I didn't wear a helmet I definitely wore a scarf and it would promptly go in the wash!



That wind screen had been cleaned off a few times that day.

Hey jaith, I don't miss Minnesota! Maybe cause I see it practically every day but I don't miss living there. Yesterday's ride was pretty much pure pine trees. I almost headed down by Iron River but headed towards Hayward and ended up in Barnes. I've had chances to move back to Minnesota but I doubt I ever will. It's like night and day and much nicer on this side of the big pond.
