Taos style....

The weather kinda sucked so only about 5 of the 37 balloons flew.

I got about 150 pics until my batry went ded....and then it started raining 5 minutes after that. It's suppose to snow this afternoon. I got a potroast on the stove, fire goin, and a cat that's annoyed with me for spending so much time on the computer. Oh well.














the music was country western and classic rock.

I used to love going to the balloon races in Reno where I grew up. They have what they call &quot;dawn patrol&quot; where a number of balloons lift off before the sun comes out and the color of the lighted balloons in the dark skies is breathtaking... hot chocolate, wrapped in blankets at dawn patrol... ahhhh... memories...

Yeah BANDI,....I got those same memories from the festival down in Albuquerqie (over 15 yrs ago). Back then they had over 650 Balloons show up. I can't imagine what it's like today!

the best birthday present we ever gave my dad was a hot air balloon ride...he loved it from start to finish. his favorite part....they dropped the balloon down so he could pick some leaves from a treetop.

laurel....there's a place south of hudson that sells rides.
