you know, loops, mi neva see or smell smoke once while mi was there
not in none of the sopas, no place atall. now the beer...and di ready made ron & colas (rum & cokes) in di refrigerator cases.

yes, actually.
di few times mi went out to eat...mi asked for things and the waitstaff would ask mi if mi want it cook "H"amaica style.
At first mi thought is was cuz mi was black, or di few times mi did have on a t-shirt that said Jamaica. But nope, the community (albeit small) is there.
Also, Costa Rica nuh have any army and pride itself on its Pura Vida (pure life). Dem nu too boddah, boddah people (Nicaraguans...the most that come deh ahn neva get any papers or Jamaicans) as long as dem work and nu commit any crimes. You mostly free to go bout you business. Which is probably why Bob went down and has not come back.Comment

I heard it was very westernized - hence the tom ketch and mayo sachets (looks like the Irish pub LOL) - with prices to match, Europeans with B&Bs there on the beach etc., but for the eco aspect it can't be beat!Comment

Mi nu memba which of you wanted to know how old one of the trees were... the Guia (forest ranger) said it takes 100's of years for some of these trees to do what they do. Some of them make it just so...and...well...the others...get struck by lightening and...I pose off miself in front of them
