This summer my family (wife and 3 children) and I went on an adventure. We visited 6 European countries in 10 Days. It was an amazing trip and we did every mode of transportation (train, plane, boat, bus and car). We visited France, UK, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Germany. Here is part 1 of the trip report. Here is an article I wrote with some tips based on my experience.
Day 1
We left from Miami on time for our flight to Paris. We would have a 12-hour stop-over in Paris for 12 hours before going on to London.
The Air France plane was great. We had our own individualized DVD players. The time went by quickly as we watched movies. We arrived early morning in Paris.
Our plan was to take the train from the airport to the Eiffel Tower. The immigration line at the Paris airport was the longest I have ever seen entering a country. We lost an hour in France immigration. We took the number 3 to the Eifel tower. We had great view of the countryside. We spend about 2 hours in the city before getting back on the train.
We soon realized we got on the wrong train. We tool 3b instead of 3a. Luckily the trains went in the same direction in a “wish bone”. All we had to do was get to the middle of the wish bone and catch the other train back to the airport.
Our connecting flight was delayed by 45 minutes. It was another Air France flight, so we were happy. Delay at airport. London. My cousin and his girlfriend picked us up from the Airport. We would be staying in Brixton.
