things like this make it hard to believe u r in a desert...i have to say that in flying into Vegas it was disconcerting to see that the water level in the Hoover Dam was low...u can tell by the colouration in the areas that water use to be but not there anymore...

anyhow, this is outside the Mirage's entrance....mini Dunns River Falls as i chose to call it

Treasure Island to the left in the picture..u can catch the train at the Mirage to go over to Treasure Island...i didn't because i am not that sort of visitor...i would go to the Mirage to sit outside enjoying the ambiance of their waterfalls etc...it was just relaxing...i am an avowed shopper with no apologies...LV's 'tourist' attractions, wateva dem mite be get a cursory view if i happen to notice dem when walking r driving by...

i noticed the famous/infamous Little Wedding Chapel at the end of the Strip in the vicinity of the Mandalay...afterwards it struck me wat it was but mi neva get a pcture

again it is marvelling to think this is all desert ....this is closeby the airstrip where the private planes come in ,.,,at the southern end of the Strip...Four Seasons property is fabulously green as Caesar's is fabulously marble etc...

juxtapose all this greenery with the stark desert u fly over to enter or leave Vegas...u will literally see roads leading out to the desert that stop n there is nothing there but desert,,,this is from an aerial view..u can only suppose that they had meant to build but decided not to ..but u have the roads leadin into the desert as i said...

dem is in residence appearing at HARRAHS..found miself wondering if is because she enjoyed the weight loss an felt comfortable now appearing onstage r wedda it was money problems that had them bak on the circuit...cause nuff 'celebrities' got stung in the real estate/investment fallout

i was trying to get a clear shot of the lion at MGM...di Empress loves lions..i collect them...crystal ones...anyhow, i watched the 'Girls Nite out' country and western tribute on tv while there n wished i had been there when it happened since it was done at MGM...i love me some Loretta and she was one of the ladies honoured...yeah man, i sang along the her COAL MINER'S DAUGHTER song ...i have read that book n loved Sissy Spacek in the movie adatptation....
