I can't recall seeing one of these with gold-plated doors before. Really eye catching...



Below, this was on the wall beside the cafe and it really caught my eye, not only because of the gold plated trim, but also the message it conveyed given it was in a shopping mall.

Which restaurant was it? I know 3 in cleveland, one is takeout, one is fancy sit-dfown, the third I haven't been to but it is also a nightclub...Island Style or Island something it is called....wonder if it is the same?

This looks like a huge Granite Ball we have in my hometown. Quincy, Ma (aka Granite City, aka City of Presidents) had a huge granite industry back in the day. So I just always took it for granted, not sure if it was a monument or not... [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70402-thinking.gif[/img]
But I always loved it. It used to sit in the center of traffic circle, now it's in front of City Hall. That one sure looks like granite.

I can't recall the name of the restaurant, but it could very well be the one you are talking about. We were out walking on the first night, actually looking for a place to eat, when we came across it about 10 mins from the Crowne Plaza hotel.

Home of the city's NFL team...



The stadium sits literally on the lake and really caused me to realize that one have to be a hardened Brown's fan to endure cold days like the one experienced on this day.
