Highly highly highly recommended loops. I did a bit of sightseeing on Sunday and Saturday morning before dashing to the airport. I wanted to visit the volcanos and the beach but I just didn't have the time.

The daily temp in San Jose was between 27 and 29...very lovely. However at nights I needed a light jacket which I didn't have. Also on Sunday we went to La Paz Gardens (pics to come) and I needed a jacket while discovering the falls but hey I live in Canada, a little chill didn't bother me.

theres so many different areas...i'm having a hard time deciding what i want to see. I've heard of La Paz waterfall gardens...was it too touristy?

I'm tempted to go to the Osa Peninsula...but hear that's the most remote area to get to...still i'm intrigued by the opp to see so many colorful birds and wildlife.

See any birds on your trip?

oh...and please to translate your celcius for me.

La Paz has a natural feel about it especially when you get the waterfalls. To get to the falls you have to pass through the butterfly farm, the hummingbird garden, the reptiles [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70456-eyebrows.gif[/img] and those are a bit touristy. Entrance fee is $30.00US and it's worth it.

Oh loops bring with you quite a few $1.00US. Great for tip and it goes a long way as the exchange rate is over C500.00 to $1.00US.

....and the temperature was in the low to mid 80's.

Thanks Magic. Whatever spanish I picked up, I left in San Jose. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img] Tell you what though I need to revisit that language because I'm moving to a place where it's spoken.

Continuing

Sunday morning after breakfast we headed to the tour operator to arrange our tour for the day. While standing by the counter I heard a familiar melody only in spanish. I started to tap my feet and move my head. Scott, one of the other trainers, indicated that we have enough time if I wanted to go where the music was coming from. Turned out they had a church service in one of the conference rooms in the hotel. I recognized, "The Power of Your Love" so I joined in the service, sang the songs in English and left right after P&amp;W but not before a lovely lady coming over to pray with me.

Love in any language.

Right after leaving the service, the tour bus arrived to pick us up to take us to La Paz Gardens.

I can't remember who he said this guy was but it must have been interesting enough for me to take the picture.

It was about a 45 minute ride from the hotel to La Paz. The ride was sort of bumping and that made taking pics very difficult. Also the change in climate was amazing as we climbed the mountain. San Jose is surrounded by mountains and loved looking at the mountains. I live in Ontario...there are no mountains. One of the things I noticed on Saturday was that no matter which direction I looked in, I could see a mountain. Perfection.
