cruising for christmas

it is our tradition to go away for christmas - this year i decided to try a cruise - i selected the carnival dream - 7 nights - 4 stops - cozumel, belize, roatan and costa maya

we headed out on dec 24 - 2 hour drive to port canaveral and we were onboard

embarkment went smoothly - much more smoothly than the airport security, tsa confrontations

so off we go with more than 3000 of our new best friends

everyone hung at the lido deck until our suitcases were delivered to our rooms

i opted for any time dining - you are able to go to the dining room any time between 6 and 9:15 at night - you do not have a pre-arranged table - they just seat you anywhere in the dining room - i also decided to get the 5 bottles of wine offer for $113 - you got 5 tickets for wine - they would bring you a bottle in the dining room or at the bar - then you could either take it with you - or leave it at the bar or dining room to drink next time you arrived

the dining room was nice and dinner was served efficiently

this area became my favorite spot for the evening - and the meeting new folks started

we proceeded to the disco for awhile - mostly observing - until i disappeared to my room to get ready for my christmas morning hangover :-)

the next morning - my head felt as big as the room - thank goodness for those goody powders - 30 minutes later i was recovered

now abu had discovered club O2 for the 15-17 year olds - it took him longer than me to recover - lol
