Re: Cape Town, Jo'burg - South Africa
And so ended a remarkable six days in South Africa. It had been a wonderful adventure and one that I will not forget anytime soon. One of the things I have discovered in my journeys is that when it comes to people, we have more in common that we realize. I love the beauty of Cape Town and would visit again in a heartbeat. Some of its images are indelibly etched in my mind. I wish I had seen more of Soweto, yet the visit to the Hector Pieterson museum and memorial left me feeling connected with an important part of the Black struggle. I think it was extremely important that memorials like Pieterson's and the holocaust museum were put in place as important reminders of atrocities we should never forget or allow to be repeated. With so many school children and adults passing through these places at the time we visited, maybe there is a chance.
Thank you guys for tagging along and for sharing in my journey back in time

. You are right though, its more hectic than capetown. Will check if I have any pictures of any shantytowns to show you..
Yes, m'am. In the meantime, thanks again for tagging along on the journey.
I understand the concern re long flights and DVT; however, get an aisle seat and go walking in the aisle every couple of hours. I found leg cramps to be the biggest issue on that flight and you really don't want to be stuck in a middle seat with the other persons on either side fast asleep! I think you would have a great time though. I would love to go to Kenya and Rwanda, to name just two, and trusting the good Lord that I will be able to do so.

being interviewed by various hosts/shows.
