Wicked the Broadway Musical

I saw Wicked the Broadway Musical Wednesday night at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood and was blown away!!

I've seen many plays and musicals both in LA and NYC, but this one was by far the best I've seen anywhere. If you get a chance to see it, GO, definitely worth the time and money.

Wicked is the untold story of the witches of Oz (Oz as in The Wizard of Oz) It all takes place before Dorothy came to town.

You're not suppose to take pictures once you get inside the theater and they have attendee's who keep an eye out for people taking pictures.

I took out my camera to take a picture of my friend & I and was immediately told I couldn't take pictures inside the theater. NOT even of myself. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad2.gif[/img]

Thank goodness the gal sitting next to me was brave cause she took pictures all night and never got caught. I complimented her braveness and asked if she would email them to me.

She actually emailed me!! Couldn't believe it! The kindness of strangers still amazes me!

The set was just beautiful!! Glenda the Good Witch is in the center and singing here.


Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the East is in the center and singing here. The lady can sing let me tell you!! She was INCREDIBLE!!

Of course at the end of the play there was a standing ovation.


This is my final picture. It is of everyone leaving the theater.

Can't say enough about this musical!! Great story, awesome singing, and it was funny to boot.

What, $300 per ticket?? Thats a CRAZY amount!!

My tickets were $57 plus a $12 service charge.

As far as Abu, he'd probably like it. There are good special effects, it's funny, and there are references to The Wizzard of Oz.

But, no play is worth $300 per ticket. Couldn't you get airfare to JA for that much?? That'd be much more worth it!! [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img]

SUL I saw Wicked on Broadway last November...the tickets set di current mr ilp and i back $222 +service fees and tax. but it was well worth it. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70409-waytogo.gif[/img] the special effects (especially for a stage play) was awesome.

Like I mentioned earlier.......sheesh...had comps to this show.....would have gladly given them to you.....and those tickets are going for as much as $770 per ticket...depends on the seat and which night you attend.
