Welcome to Isla as the locals call it
Isla is 20 min ferry ride off of Cancun. We went down for 12 days
last year for Joes daughters wedding. She got married south of Cancun and we had always wanted to come here longer than a day trip. Its nothing like Cancun a true hidden gem, a mexican gem.

These 2 shots are from the hotel we took a tour of, looking back at the north west corner of the isle. We took 2 time share tours.
They ea paid us 200$ cash and gave of 2 days ea of 8 hr golf carts. Did we buy? yeah right..I never beat around the bush told em right up front. Needless to say it enhanced our trip.

Beaches are fantastic. This was 3 months after Wilma
hit Cancun so hard. All the sand was washed from their shores and wrapped around little Isla [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif[/img]

Thanks for sharing. Been to Cancun a few times. Don't really care for it. I much prefer Isla Mujeres or Cozumel...although Cozumel is becoming a bit like Cancun too...not like it was 15 years or so ago.

Please post some more pics. I was actually contemplating a short trip to Isla.

This was looking off our balcony. Stayed right on front st We could walk 5 to 8 min any direction and be on a beach
