My friends and I just sat back and people watched... there were tons of people up on "Hippie Hill" doing was hippies do [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img]


Hippie hill overlooks Sharon Meadow, and this building, not quite sure what it is... maybe a Church [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70402-thinking.gif[/img] but I love the stone building look [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif[/img]

After about a half hour I went to check on my baby...

He had moved from the little drum to Moraccas and was having a blast...

I went back and joined my friends for a while... Suddenly there is a movement in the grass [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek2.gif[/img] We look and it is the cutest little gopher [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif[/img]

One girl picked it up [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif[/img] and held it for a long time... the little thing never once looked frightened, or tried to bite her...

I would have never picked it up, but it was cool to watch [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/agood.gif[/img]

Finally I can see that my baby is looking around for me, so I go get him, and leave his father to the drumming...

We sit on a blanket and eat some crackers [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img]



I got soooo many compliments on the sweater Vannie made him...

With the snacks gone, and the wind picking up, it was time to go... we headed back to the car, and Imanni climbed through the back...

Some of my best memories are of waking up at Sierra Nevada World Music Fest to the sound of drumming...

At first it's 1 maybe 2 drummers doing nyabinghi, with each strike they call to the others, and by the time the sun is fulling shining the drum circles are HUGE... You can feel the beat in your chest, and a spiritual vibe is in the air to start another day of music....

I can't wait for Imanni to go to another Reggae Festival [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70409-waytogo.gif[/img]
Last time he went he was too young to know what was happening...

It was really windy and cold at the beach so we did not stay long... Imanni still trying to play in the sand, but he kept getting it in his eyes [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif[/img]



We headed back through the streets of San Francisco to the freeway, and out of the city....
