well we looked so CUTE at the liqouir store - he told us there was a new club down the street

and we hit it

beautiful

hard wood floors
nice bar
leather coaches
black and red

lawd perfect

ten dollars just to get in to the joint - HEY WE'RE ON VACATION

the main event planned

was the SOUL FOOD FESTIVAL - 1st annual

and we were there

along with

Jeffery Osborne
Stephanie Mills
Keith Sweat
and Angela W

it was 93 but we were on the river chilling
eating oxtails - YEP - right here in my town

and then he SAID

YEP i don't worry about ONE thing here

he made:

jerk shrimp on the BARB
curried potatoes - yum
cool spinach
pina colada from scratch - you know coconut, pineapple in the blender
and abu spent the weekend with him - riding the motorcycle, swimming, watching sea turtles (they get welfare you know - yep)

while we had our

ESTROGEN weekend

So during the course of the day, we have to stop for many drinks. I spied this retaurant IN the water and had to go there. This dude was out in the water actually stomping on fish, now there is a unique way of catching them.

When it comes to a day like this and objects like wood, doors, etc. I am humbled when I think how long they have been around and who all may have touched/come in and out of them. I majored in history in high school, and college, so stuff like this really turns me on. Now who whould have thought huh?
