Okay so I am very new to this so do bear with me....picture quality sucks as do the videos but hopefull will get the point across.

Saturday August 18th was the Calgary international Reggae festival. It was supposed to be 11am to 11pm live music. However knowing how my people function I got there at 12:45 and not surprisingly they were still setting up the stage.

Finally the show got underway with a devastating explanation for the late start. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-bawlout.gif[/img] Ibo and Kindred were driving back from Sask in the morning and rolled the vehicle they were in. Ibo went to hospital in critical condition in a coma and 2 other band members were also in critical condition. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70384-praying.gif[/img]

Erroll Blackwood and Leo Crips and couple other dreads did a drum chant set to kick of the show with prayers for the injured.

This couple was very regal [img][/img]

I was fascinated watching this dread trying to put his locks in a hat...only to find out later he was one of the performers [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70361-embarassed.gif[/img] mi haffie goh look in di program fi si wha him name [img][/img]

Gotcha! I've been around that part of "downtown" during my times there. My times in Calgary were for business purposes, but staying at the Westin, and on the weekends with absolutely nothing to do and the downtown core as "dead" as a cemetery, I would walk about the city [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img] I loved the Devonian Botanical Gardens (still have some pics from there), the museum, and of course, Spaghetti House [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif[/img]

Lord..dis a nuf video fi watch.
