Thanks Dudie..no filter, but I was hoping for the Sun Dogs or sun pillars down to the ground but if it happened I was too late! I can get those pillar thingies with my Nikon plain no wrapper. I sometimes think about using filters though just to see how they work. Never tried them yet.

Back in the day... before digital. I used an little Pentax K1000.
I LOVED that camera!!
Anyway, I played with some filters here and there. The basic polarizing filter is my favorite. It does amazing things to color.

I also had a starlight filter that was pretty cool in the right conditions.. It's fun to play with them,, but in the long run, I prefered to use only the polarizing filter. Especially in bright sunlight.

With my digital I have gotten a similar effect by shooting thru my Polarized sunglasses.

first three are from Vienna, most of my "cool" pics are from my shaolin travels, basically we go around and support all our branch temples which are in vienna, trinidad, mexico, and South Africa. I have yet to get to South Africa but am really anxious to go...

4th pic is a shot of the book making.

the last pic was from Mexico City, in the museum.
