Ambassador Amadei congratulated Jamaica for reducing the population of juveniles in State care, while Prime Minister Simpson Miller thanked the EU and UNICEF for providing technical and financial support to the Reducing Juvenile Population in State-supported Institutions Project. At the same time, she proposed that there be increased interaction between children in State care and their parents and counseling for both parties be implemented as part of the project.
