Minister of Tourism and Entertainment Dr Wykeham McNeill (2nd left) greets Palace Resorts' Executive Vice-President Gibran Chapur during a courtesy call paid on the minister at his New Kingston offices on Wednesday to discuss Palace Resorts' recent acquisition of the former Sunset Jamaica Grande in Ocho Rios, and plans to upgrade and expand the property. Looking on are Palace Resorts' Chief Development Officer Sandor Winkler (left); Sunset Resorts' Managing Director, Ian Kerr (second right); and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment Jennifer Griffith. The resort will be relaunched as the new Moon Palace Jamaica Grande in early 2015. Palace Resorts currently owns and operates seven ocean-front properties in Mexico, including Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort, one of the most successful resorts in Cancun.
