Nearly 50% of paid jobs held by region's women are precarious -- report

A NEW report by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) which evaluates two decades of gender equality policies, show that almost half of the women in Latin America and the Caribbean (47.7 per cent) who have paid work are employed in low-productivity jobs such as domestic workers and independent contractors.
