A news item headlined 'Accused death squad cop faces court today' published in last Friday's edition of the Jamaica Observer erroneously stated that the cop was being investigated after death threats were issued to a senior magistrate at the Half-Way-Tree RM Court. It should have stated that an INDECOM source said the deceased man, Sylvester Gallimore -- for whose killing the cop has been charged -- was being investigated for the threat and not the policeman. We regret the error.
