Senator AJ Nicholson, minister of foreign affairs and foreign trade, receives a letter of appointment from Taous Achab, new chargé d'affaires of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to Jamaica, during her courtesy call on the minister at the ministry's headquarters in New Kingston. Achab, who has previously held posts in France, Germany, Spain and Cuba, is the head of mission of the recently opened Embassy of Algeria in Kingston. Ghaouti Benmoussat, ambassador of Algeria to Jamaica, is resident in Caracas, Venezuela. Minister Nicholson welcomed Achab to Jamaica, stating that he looked forward to the strengthening of the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
