Firefighters rescue motorist, 12 shelter overnight at school as rain lashes Portland

PORT ANTONIO, Portland — Heavy rain between Tuesday and yesterday morning drenched Portland, causing heavy flooding and left several commuters stranded. The rain also knocked out electrical power for three hours and caused a scare for at least one motorist who decided to traverse a flooded road.
