President of the Jamaican Senate Tom Tavares-Finson (left) greets Cuban Ambassador Bernardo Guanche Hernandez during a courtesy call at Gordon House last Friday. During the visit, the ambassador thanked the Jamaican Parliament for supporting Cuba through the US economic embargo which started in 1960 and is currently being relaxed. Guanche Hernandez made a similar call on the Speaker of the House of Representatives Pearnel Charles last Tuesday.
