Minister of Local Government and Community Development Desmond McKenzie (centre) offers a student a hotdog while serving breakfast at Denham Town Primary in his Kingston West constituency yesterday. Minister McKenzie joined with Scotiabank staff and volunteers to serve breakfast as part of the bank's Nutrition for Learning programme, an activity being carried out for Child Month. Nutrition for Learning is a programme that has been offered in nine schools across the island since 2003. Assisting the minister is Joylene Griffiths Irving (right) executive director, Scotia Foundation, and Winsome McCarthy, a Scotia volunteer.
